Sunday: The Testament of Dr. Mabuse (1933) This is a German film. Inspector Lohman investigates several crimes that lead back to a mental institution. He learns about a patient, Dr. Mabuse. Mabuse was a criminal mastermind who one day became almost comatose. He would just sit in his bed. Then he started to make writing gestures. They gave him paper and a pencil. Scribbles became words. Those words started to make some sense. Lohman realizes that somehow Mabuse is behind these crimes. He believes hypnotism might be involved somehow. Lohman has to figure out how this insane man is getting people do commit crimes from his locked room. I thought this movie was alright.
