Tuesday: If Winter Comes (1947) Mark is a textbook writer who lives in a small English town with his wife Mabel. He married her after is true love, Nona, married someone else. Then Nona moves back to town with her husband. Her being back complicates things. It's not helped by the fact that Mabel and Mark's boss both know of their relationship. World War II starts. Nona's husband is called up to fight. She joins the fight to get away. Mark is forced to stay home because of a heart condition. He befriends a young woman named Effie. She later comes to him when she finds out she is pregnant. Mark helps her, but rumors start to go around about the two of them. More drama ensues. I thought this movie was alright.
