Tuesday: If Winter Comes (1947)             Mark is a textbook writer who lives in a small English town with his wife Mabel. He married her after is true love, Nona, married someone else. Then Nona moves back to town with her husband. Her being back complicates things. It's not helped by the fact that Mabel and Mark's boss both know of their relationship. World War II starts. Nona's husband is called up to fight. She joins the fight to get away. Mark is forced to stay home because of a heart condition. He befriends a young woman named Effie. She later comes to him when she finds out she is pregnant. Mark helps her, but rumors start to go around about the two of them. More drama ensues. I thought this movie was alright. It is definitely a melodrama. There is constant drama and it's just a bit much. Friday: Snake Eyes (2021)         As a young boy Snake Eyes sees his father be killed. Sedona Eats and the Widow

I went to some really good restaurants in Sedona. So I decided to write a little about each one. Coffee Pot- This is a breakfast place with a menu that includes 101 omelettes. It is a little touristy but in a good way. The theme is the Southwest on overdrive. Every inch is decorated. The walls are painted like the rock formations Sedona is known for. I of course go an omelette. It had sausage, ham, cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes. My sides were sourdough toast and cottage cheese. It was really good. The service was fast and good. Creekside American Bistro- We went here for dinner. The decor is modern with art framed on the walls. My mom and I shared the wedge salad. It was ok. After a certain point all the good stuff it gone and it's just romaine lettuce. I got the Bake Stuffed Chicken Breast. It is stuffed with herb cheese, roasted tomato and spinach. It was good, but not amazing. My mom got the Braised Short Rib. She liked it. Service was good....

Molasses Blondie and the Curious Sea Monster

On Thursday my parents and I had dinner at Firehouse. It is on NE Dekum. It's actually across the street from Campana which I have written about on here. There is neighborhood parking. As you can probably guess it is in an old firehouse. The outside is painted red and surrounded by different trees and plants. The garage door has been turned into a sliding glass wall that can be raised in the summer to allow an open air feature. The inside walls are brick with big black and white photos of firefighters. There are booths. They have a wood fire oven. There is a lot of wood paneling. It's a decent size place. I didn't go upstair but I'm guessing there is more seating. Also there is a bar at the back. It has been updated but still has a vintage feel to it. We sat outside under a tent with a string of lights around the edges. I think this was a COVID addition. It is in their stone courtyard. We got the fried cauliflower and green bean appetizers. They were bo...
