Before they can figure out what to do the renter, Professor Lightcap, shows up. He was a day early. Leopold hides in the attic. Nora has to invent a reason to stay the night and prevent Leopold from being discovered. Lightcap is there to write a book on law. He has very strict ideas of how things should be done. Irene's family is very eccentric. Godfrey has a lot to get used to, but he is a good butler. Irene starts to fall in love with him, even though it is clear he doesn't like her that way. As time goes on it is clear Godfrey is hiding something. I thought this movie was ok. It's a screwball comedy and I'm not sure if I like those. The character of Irene was really annoying.
