Friday: The Smashing Machine (2025)
This is based on a true story. Mark Kerr is a mixed-martial arts fighter. He rises to fame in 1997. Mark went on a long wining streak. Many of his fights were in Japan. While dealing with pain he became addicted to opioids. This caused his career, and his already toxic relationship with his girlfriend, to suffer. He has to work hard to kick his addiction and get his career back. I thought this movie was alright. Dwayne Johnson is Mark. This is his first dramatic role. He proved he can pull it off. He just needs more practice.
Sunday: Dawn of the Dead (1978)
As the zombie apocalypse continues to escalate Francine, a TV executive, and her traffic reporter boyfriend escape in a helicopter. They are joined by two SWAT team members. The group takes refuge in a abandoned mall. It has all they need to survive and protect themselves. Even still they have to deal with the zombies and raiders. This movie was ok. It's a B low budget movie. Most of the zombies just have blue skin as a way to show they are zombies.

Friday: Roofman (2025)
This is based on a true story. It mostly takes place in 2004. Jeffrey struggled to make money after serving in the military. He comes up with the idea to rob McDonalds. Jeffery goes in through the roof, thus getting the nickname Roofman. He robs several before getting caught and sent to prison. Soon he breaks out of prison. Jeffrey ends up hiding in a Toys R Us. Somehow he leads a somewhat normal life. Joining a church and starting a relationship with a woman who works at the Toys R Us. There is only so long he can keep it up. This movie was alright. It's a crazy story.

Especially because there was no one staying in cabin 10. Laura is convinced and tries to figure out what happened. With little proof she starts to question her own sanity. I thought this movie was alright. A "whodunnit' is always entertaining.
