Venom and the Imaginative Siblings

Friday: Venom: The Last Dance (2024)        Eddie and Venom are on the run and hiding in Mexico. They are wanted for murder. Eddie finds out that even in Mexico they are looking for him. So he makes a plan to get to NYC to clear his name. Before they can even leave the country they are attacked by an alien. It comes from the same planet as Venom. It was sent to get Venom. An evil alien has been kept prisoner on their planet. He needs the symbiotes to escape and sent his henchmen to bring them back. Under Area 51 the other symbiotes are being studied. Little do the scientists and military personnel know they will soon be a target for an attack. Eddie and Venom have to outrun the police, the military, and the henchmen to try and make it to NYC. I thought this movie was alright. It is better than the second movie but not by much. It has some good humor. But it is campy and the story isn't the best. Saturday: Come Away (2020)         Alice and P...

Tuesday: Girl Haunts Boy (2024)        Bea is a teenage girl living in the 1920s. At a school trip to a museum she finds a ring and ends up taking it. Outside of the museum she gets hit by a car and dies. A hundred years later Cole and his mom move into Bea's old house. Weird things start to happen in his room. Then he finds the ring and is able to see Bea while wearing it. Cole is freaked out a first and wants Bea gone. She wins him over and they become friends despite being from very different times. Friendship turns to something else as they try to figure out what happened to Bea and how it's connected to the ring. I thought this movie was alright. It's cute. Ancestors and the PG Spray

Friday: Piece by Piece (2024)       This is a music documentary but done in Lego. It is about the singer and producer Pharrell Williams. He grew up in Virginia Beach. Pharrell always loved music. He also has chromethesia, meaning he can see colors when he hears music. In high school he started a band called The Neptunes. Later a record label opened in his town. He got his start there. He became a producer first. Working with musicians like Jay-Z, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and more. Later he was able to perform his own songs. Pharrell's fame and success has had highs and lows, but he's finally in a better place. I thought this movie was alright. It was interesting to learn about him. It's a unique way to tell his story, in Lego. Technically it's a kids movie too. I don't think a lot of the parents knew what they were taking their kids to see. My favorite part was when he first meets Snoop Dogg an assistant sprays "PG Spray". Which looks a lot like smoke. I...

After a blackout he is diagnosed with a rare disease. Ed only has months to live, but there is a new drug that can help him. It is hormone cortisone. It works quickly and he starts to feel better. Soon his personality changes. He has bouts of mania and depression. He becomes aggressive and mean. His wife doesn't know what to do. They can't go on living with him when he's like this, but without the drug he will die. I thought this movie was alright.  Friday: Joker: Folie a Deux (2024)          Arthur is in Arkham waiting on his trail. His lawyer is trying to prove that he has multiple personalities. The Joker takes over and Arthur has no control. The prosecution is not buying it. Arthur meets another patient in Arkham, Lee. She ...
