Lilo and the Boy in Need

 Saturday: Lilo and Stitch (2025)

The story is pretty much the same as the animated version. There are some new characters like a neighbor and a social worker. Nani has dreams of going to college to study marine biology. I thought the movie was good for the most part. The actress they got to play Lilo is perfect. She is super cute and chaotic. Stitch was also well done. The original voice actor for Stitch came back to voice him for this movie. I wasn't sure at first about the actress playing Nani, but she did a good job. Speaking of Nani, the actress who played the social worker is the original voice of Nani from the animated version. Pleakley and Jumba were alright. Pleakley wasn't in drag like in the animated which was a little disappointing. But he did wear some feminine clothes so at least there's that. Still prefer the animated version.

Sunday: Men of Boys Town (1941)

Father Flanagan ambitiously builds several new buildings in Boys Town without having all the financing taken care of. Boys Town could be in trouble. Father Flanagan is called out of town to help with a murder case involving a young boy. The young boy, Ted, shot and killed a guard of his reform school after he was beaten so badly he can't walk. Father Flanagan is determined to help him. So he brings him to Boys Town. Ted doesn't trust anyone and refuses to see anymore doctors. Father Flanagan enlists Whitey's help to cheer Ted up. Whitey has his own adventure when he is adopted and then accidentally ends up in the reform school after trying to help a runaway. This movie was alright. It is the sequel to Boys Town. I looked it up on here. It was one of the first movies I wrote about on this blog.

Surprise Chorizo and the Floating Castle

Well after two months I was finally able to go to a restaurant on my list. I went to Tight Tacos, the SE Division location. There is neighborhood parking on the streets behind it, but you might have to drive around a little. It is a small restaurant next to other restaurants and shops. They were only open for take out but there were picnic tables you could sit at on the sidewalk. The tables were in the shade so it was nice on a warm day. From what I could see inside it was clean and modern. There is some color and hanging Christmas lights. The service was good. I got three tacos: chicken, carnitas, and asada. I think that I got chorizo instead of asada. It was actually the best one flavor wise. The carnitas meat was good but there wasn't a lot of flavor. I forgot to ask for no onions so I had to scrape them off. The tacos were good. I would go back. The one problem I had was they serve the food in takeout containers. And they have tables for you to sit ...

Once in the city she meets another Broadway hopeful, Dan. None of them are having luck getting work. The women's and Dan's agent, Lew, comes up with an idea. He will get Dan and the four women onto Bob Crosby's TV show. And he will get their friends at the local deli to put up the money for it. The group is excited. They start working hard to put together some routines. Only problem is they don't actually have a spot on the show yet. Lew hasn't even been able to talk to anyone from the show. I liked this movie. It is fun. Tuesday: Paper Moon (1973)         Addie is a young girl who's mother passed away. At the funeral she meets a man, Moses, who reluctantly agrees to take her to her aunt's house in another state. She thinks he could be her father. But he won't a...
