King Richard III and the Rescue Film

 Tuesday: Michael Clayton (2007)

Michael is a fixer for a law firm. Arthur is a lawyer for the same firm. He is working on a big case defending a chemical company. The chemical company is under fire for doing harm to people who live near the plant. Arthur has a mental breakdown. Michael has to go and fix it. He comes to realize how far gone Arthur is. And how he has switched sides and started to work with the people who were harmed. Michael gets in deep fast. I thought this movie was ok.

Wednesday: The Piano (1993)

This movie is set in the mid-19th century. Ada is a mute woman with a young daughter.  She is passionate about playing the piano. Her father marries her off to a man in New Zealand. She travels there with her daughter and beloved piano. Ada's new husband Alisdiar lives in the bush. It's a huge adjustment for Ada and her daughter. Also because of where he lives they have to leave the piano on the beach, at least for a while. Desperate to play it Ada convinces their neighbor George to take her to the piano while Alisdair is away. Later he trades the piano for some land. He wants lessons from Ada. Really he just wants to watch her play. Ada and George's relationship starts of strangely but then they fall in love. It changes everything. This movie was good, but weird in some parts.

Saturday: Their Finest (2016)

Set during WWII this movie is about a former secretary named Catrin. She gets a job as a scriptwriter for a propaganda film. They learned about two sisters who took out their boat at Dunkirk to help rescue soldiers. Catrin interviews them and learns their boat stalled and they never rescues anyone. But the studio likes the story so they change the facts. She works with the other screenwriter, Tom, to write the film. All the while the war still rages around them. This movie was alright.

Surprise Chorizo and the Floating Castle

Well after two months I was finally able to go to a restaurant on my list. I went to Tight Tacos, the SE Division location. There is neighborhood parking on the streets behind it, but you might have to drive around a little. It is a small restaurant next to other restaurants and shops. They were only open for take out but there were picnic tables you could sit at on the sidewalk. The tables were in the shade so it was nice on a warm day. From what I could see inside it was clean and modern. There is some color and hanging Christmas lights. The service was good. I got three tacos: chicken, carnitas, and asada. I think that I got chorizo instead of asada. It was actually the best one flavor wise. The carnitas meat was good but there wasn't a lot of flavor. I forgot to ask for no onions so I had to scrape them off. The tacos were good. I would go back. The one problem I had was they serve the food in takeout containers. And they have tables for you to sit ...
