Train Station Sweethearts and the Inclusive Prom

 Monday: Mr. Love (1985)

Donald is a quiet and kind gardner. He dreams of great romance. He didn't find it with his wife. After talking with his friend, a homeless man named Theo, he decides to start his quest for great romance. Along the way he meets several women. Donald befriends the adult daughter of the local prostitute. He babysits for the daughter and falls in love with the little girl. A mutual friend convinces him to work at the local movie theater a couple days a week. There be befriends the quirky projectionist who dreams of being an actress. His dream woman is a quiet woman who is wealthy. He becomes a legendary lover. I thought this movie was ok.

Arthur is a wealthy playboy who is often drunk. He has no responsibilities. His butler, Hobson, takes care of him like a father. Arthur's actual father wants him to marry a woman named Susan. Arthur has been dragging his feet. His father tells him that if he doesn't marry Susan he will be cut off. So he agrees to go through with the marriage. Then he meets a woman named Linda. He falls hard for her. He has to decide if he will give up all his money to marry her. This movie was alright.

Wednesday: Brief Encounter (1945)

Laura is a housewife who has Thursdays to herself. She travels to the city by train. She goes to the library, has lunch and sees a movie. One day she meets a doctor named Alec. After that they keep bumping into each other. They have lunch together and see a movie. Soon they spend every Thursday afternoon together. They are both married and happy in their marriages. But something draws them together and they fall in love. Laura doesn't know if she can go through with an affair. Decisions have to be made. I liked this movie.

Friday: Prom (2020)

Two self centered Broadway stars, Dee Dee and Barry, are depressed after their latest musical failed. They meet up with two other failed actors, Angie and Trent. When they find out one of the reasons the musical failed was because they are seen as self-centered, they come up with a plan. They need a cause that will make them look good. Angie reads a article about a high school student in a small town in Indiana who's prom got canceled because she wanted to take her girlfriend to prom. They decide to go there and help her. Emma just wanted to go to prom with her girlfriend. She didn't mean for it to get canceled. Her principal is very supportive and helps to get the prom back on. When the broadway actors arrive they make things worse. But they don't give up and fight to get Emma the inclusive prom she deserves. This is a good movie. I enjoyed it. It is based on the broadway musical.

Surprise Chorizo and the Floating Castle

Well after two months I was finally able to go to a restaurant on my list. I went to Tight Tacos, the SE Division location. There is neighborhood parking on the streets behind it, but you might have to drive around a little. It is a small restaurant next to other restaurants and shops. They were only open for take out but there were picnic tables you could sit at on the sidewalk. The tables were in the shade so it was nice on a warm day. From what I could see inside it was clean and modern. There is some color and hanging Christmas lights. The service was good. I got three tacos: chicken, carnitas, and asada. I think that I got chorizo instead of asada. It was actually the best one flavor wise. The carnitas meat was good but there wasn't a lot of flavor. I forgot to ask for no onions so I had to scrape them off. The tacos were good. I would go back. The one problem I had was they serve the food in takeout containers. And they have tables for you to sit ...
